LA Fashion Week 3-12-13 Post Press Release

SCION, PROJECT ETHOS SHAKE UP LA FASHION WEEK
Fashion, Music, Art, Performance, and Unity Shine

LOS ANGELES- (March 13, 2013) On Tuesday, March 12th, Project Ethos and Scion made their mark during LA Fashion Week with a sold out event at the Avalon in Hollywood sponsored by LA Weekly, Sebastian Professional (Official Hair Care sponsor), TNT Agency stylists, and The Fashion Law Group.

From celebrity models Rico the Zombie, Simon Sherry Wood (Real World Paris), Kiara Belen (America’s Next Top Model), Caridee English (America’s Next Top Model), and Lily Galichi (Shahs of Sunset) strutting down the runway, to 20+ dancers surprising the audience with a performance choreographed by Tricia Miranda, and an electric performance from alternative-pop band Fire In the Hamptons – the night was filled with an array of entertainment.

The red carpet was buzzing with attendees Aubrey O’Day, celebrity stylist Johnny Wujek, Scheana Marie (Vanderpump Rules), Brian Friedman (X-Factor) and more. Just Luxe Winner Jenna Petardi arrived dressed in her custom, celebrity-styled outfit.

The VIP Meet and Greet in Honey reached capacity quickly with a variety of buyers including Magnet Showroom and Stylehaus, with curators from Martha Otero Gallery, L’Imagerie Gallery and more. At 8pm, thousands of well-dressed fashion, music, and art enthusiasts descended upon the Avalon. Luxe jewelry designer Kristen Dorsey Designs showcased her intricate pieces and B&E Soap and Scrubs provided guests with product samples.

Fashion shows throughout the evening featured designs from Traver Rains (T. Rains), Daniel Bohbot (Hale Bob), Michael Costello, Andrew Christian, Maor Luz (Maor Apparel), Michael Kuluva (Tumbler and Tipsy), Siann Marlowe (The Ras Collection), Deanna Richmond (Deandri), Pas Pour Toi, Hous of PinkLemonaid, and Farahourani, blending LA favorites with the best of emerging talent. Hair and make-up was styled by TNT Agency with hair product provided by Sebastian Professional.

Art filled the Avalon in the main room and Bardot, featuring an eclectic mix of art from Aaron Mostow, Gregg “Viz” Visintainer, Johnie Thorton, Miri Chais, Greg Auerbach, Fang Ling Lee, Michael Slade, Michael Stubbs, and Scott Liminature. Blending music and art, DJ Stubbs and trumpeter extraordinaire Matt Von Roderick rocked the music in Bardot. Live art on stage featured Van Saro and John Park, body painting by Jamie Graden and live portraits by Ivan Djurovic.

Global nightlife brand and experiential marketing platform French Tuesdays, brought their signature touch of sophistication from their cultured, classy and stylish members to the event, along with champagne partner Canard-Duchêne. Celebrity event impresario Jin&Quinn curated the after party with DJ Aaron Colbert lending skills, spinning throughout the celebration.

Event Spotlight: Matt Von Roderick Performing Live in Bardot

Award-winning trumpeter, rapper, singer and songwriter Matt Von Roderick has been hailed as “Taking Jazz into the Future” by Downbeat Magazine, “a post-millennial Chet Baker” by The New York Times and winner of the Independent Music Awards’ Jazz Artist of The Year as judged by rock icon Lou Reed. Matt’s live show is a sensual experience directed by Tony nominee Kristin Hanggi (Rock of Ages, Pussycat Dolls), featuring neo-burlesque dancers choreographed by Kelleia Sheerin (Dancing with the Stars) with costuming by Marco Marco (Ke$ha, Usher, Black-Eyed Peas). The Huffington Post declares: “Matt Von Roderick Makes Jazz Dangerous Again”.

7. Ride in Uber style.
8. No need to pay or tip your driver: Uber stores your credit card on file, so payments (tip included) are automatic and hassle free.
9. If you no longer need your ride, press ‘Cancel’.

Using Uber with other smartphone:

1. Sign up online or at: https://m.uber.com/
2. Log in and set your pick up location (at time you want to be picked up).
3. Take a ride!

Using Uber via text message (SMS):

1. Sign up and follow the instructions to confirm your mobile number and add a credit card.
2. Text your pickup address and city (example: 1177 California Street, San Francisco) to UBR-CAB (827-222).
3. Uber will respond with a text message asking you to confirm your location. Reply YES to confirm.
4. Uber will locate a car and text back with an estimated arrival time (normally 5-10 minutes).
5. Uber will send a text message when your driver has arrived.
6. Ride in Uber style.
7. No need to pay or tip your driver: Uber stores your credit card on file, so payments (tip included) are automatic and hassle free.
8. To cancel once a driver is en route to pick you up, text CANCEL to UBR-CAB (827-222).
