Nicole Miller, Helena Dazzle at Project Ethos LA Fashion Week
Over 1,500 guests attend to support emerging art while Standing Up To Cancer

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 15th, 2014) – With over 1,500 attendees, Project Ethos supported Stand Up To Cancer during their annual LA Fashion Week event Tuesday night, October 14th at Avalon Hollywood presented by Glendale Infiniti. The night of fashion, music and art, powered by International luxury nightlife brand French Tuesdays with additional partners Midori, Java Monster, Jin&Quinn, Always Awake, official stylists TNT Agency, Shop Ethos, LA Weekly and CA Apparel News was hosted by Katie Cazorla, star of TV Guide’s Nail Files. The evening raised over $5,000 for Stand Up To Cancer, a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and is still fundraising through an online donation page until the end of the week.

A special midnight presentation by headlining designer Nicole Miller along side DJ sets from Helena was a crowd favorite, keeping attendees around until the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Spring/Summer ’15 emerging designer fashion shows took place at 8pm and 9pm with DJ sets by Val Fleury and Digital. Designers featured include a luxurious twist on Indian-American wear by Chynni, laser cut leather by Liberty Garden whose line supports Doctors without Borders, feminine silhouettes by San Diego designer, Isabel Vianey and black and white hues from The Ashley Michaelsen Collection with shoes by Charles David. In conjunction with the Fashion Merchandising and Design program at California State University Long Beach, Project Ethos launched the first annual Fashion Designer Scholarship for graduating seniors. Winner Jennifer Luong premiered her boho-chic collection, Tandy Stone featuring easy-to-wear separates followed by hard-core chic clothing by MS Scandal, eco-friendly suits by Amour Swimwear and playful prints by Oober Swank.

Bardot hosted a live art gallery presented by Midori featuring 10 local artists battling with their brushes on wood, canvas and live models to win a $1,000 grand prize, which went to Eddy Lee for his ethereal female painting.

Vendors at the event included the debut of luxury skin care brand, Gilded Cells, a nail decal station by The Painted Nail, a pink themed dessert bar by Platinum Event Decor as well as Speck featuring Candywirez.

Notable attendees included Sara Ramirez (Grey’s Anatomy), Kelly McCreary (Emily Owens, M.D.) and the cast of East Los High (Hulu).

The Project Ethos team, collaborators, designers, artists and musicians will support Stand Up To Cancer by promoting an online donation page (live now and accepting donations) to all of their followings, family and friends. One can simply donate on the page or join the team and create their own donation page to promote.

Headlining the nights’ festivities is a special presentation by American designer Nicole Miller. Launched over 30 years ago, the iconic brand has impacted every part of the fashion world from women’s to menswear and bridal. The 11:30pm fashion show will take place alongside a DJ set from Helena featuring Avalon’s state of the art lighting and sound. 

Emerging designer fashion shows take place at 8pm and 9pm. Designers featured include Chynni, creator of Indian fashion with American flair, fiercely feminine designs by MS Scandal, San Diego based Isabel Vianey, Amour Swimwear of Los Angeles, The Ashley Michaelsen Collection inspired by classic romance tales, Liberty Garden whose line supports Doctors without Borders as well as contemporary brand, Oober Swank. In conjunction with the Fashion Merchandising and Design program at California State University Long Beach, Project Ethos will launch the first annual Fashion Designer Scholarship for graduating seniors. Bardot will host a live art gallery presented by Midori with a $1,000 cash prize awarded to one of ten live artists battling for fan favorite. Project Ethos Brings its Signature Edge to New York Fashion Week
LA based Event Makes its Mark With an Array of Runway Style, Live Performance and Art

NEW YORK, NY (September 10th, 2014) – Project Ethos, powered by French Tuesdays welcomed over 500 guests at the New York Fashion Week debut Tuesday night, September 9th, 2014 at Marquee New York. Sponsors included Canard Duchêne, Avita Premium Artesian Water and Java Monster. Television personality Sharon Carpenter hosted the evening, which celebrated rising talents in fashion, music and art from New York and across the U.S.

An industry meet and greet at 7pm hosted by Gardein featured an array of vegan, plant-based appetizers.

The 8:30pm fashion show opened with New York natives SACHIKA presented by Avita Premium Artesian Water and their new collection “Enchanted” followed by Liberty Garden whose mission of “buy one piece, save one life” supports Doctors without Borders and brings Malaria treatments to those in need. Italian brand M.Bottiglieri brought structured and sophisticated pieces to the runway followed by season 11 Project Runway alum Richard Hallmarq featuring his signature, all black collection.

Phoenix Entertainment presented a surprise aerialist performance between the fashion show sets that stunned the audience. The 9:30pm fashion show had Los Angeles based, The Ashley Michaelsen Collection “Toxic Romance” followed by loungewear and underwear line, Wood Underwear. Aleena Khan made her NYFW premiere with jewel tones and hand embroidering before season 7 Project Runway alum Jesus & Antonio Estrada closed with a couture show.

Hair styling was provided by Tomoko Shima Hair Salon and Eiji Morita Kiyora Salon and make up artistry provided by Yuriko Saijo for Eiji Kiyora Salon. A musical performance will take place at 9pm. Past music performances at Project Ethos include Grammy Award winning Bruno Mars, Colbie Caillat, and One Republic before they rose to stardom. 

DJ Alex Ortega kicked off the after party along with live art by Tripp Derrick Barnes of Pop Neoism and Royce Bannon and a digital art display by Joshua Kogan Photography. Vendors included Shop Ethos, Jimmie Joy Jewels and a charging station by Speck featuring Candywirez. 

Notable attendees included Smush Parker of the LA Lakers, R&B group Allure, Joe Simpson, buyers from Nordstrom, Bergdorf Goodman and more.

Project Ethos to Debut at New York Fashion Week
L.A. based Fashion-Music-Art Event makes its way to New York

Two Cargo Vans of Toys Collected at Fashion Show Benefiting Toys for Tots
Fashionistas, The Marines, and Charity unite for less fortunate local children

LOS ANGELES, CA (December 16th, 2013) – Two fully loaded cargo vans full of new toys were collected for local children in need at the exclusive Greystone Manor supperclub in Los Angeles Thursday night, December 12th at a Holiday Toy Drive and Fashion Show supporting Toys for Tots. Presented by Scion, Midori, Project Ethos, Always Awake and Elite Fashion Academy LA by Renee Esebag, and LeJolie.com hundreds turned out to support the cause. Attendees were greeted by four marines in dress-blues who placed the generous toy contributions in a Scion xB at the red carpet.

Upon entering the venue, guests had the opportunity to try holiday-themed complimentary cocktails from Midori, the original melon liqueur. Comedian Joe Sib hosted the night of fashion and charity.

T. Rains opened the night of fashion shows with a model unwrapping herself in ribbon as she strut the runway. Love Love by Jami swimwear followed with Intrepid by AOC’s casual and chic separates as the finale. Models, hair and makeup were provided by Elite Fashion Academy. Sets by Tony Mendes had attendees partying until 2am.

Scion, Project Ethos Push Creative Envelope at LA Fashion Week
Fashion, Music, Art, and Dance, showcased to both Industry and Consumer

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 16, 2013) – Project Ethos, presented by Scion during LA Fashion Week brought together industry and consumer to witness both the local and international collaboration of fashion, music and art. Additional partners include Aids Healthcare Foundation, French Tuesdays, Jin & Quinn, Sebastian Professional, Midori, Lab Art, The Fashion Law Group, and TNT Agency and was hosted by Kristian Weathers, correspondent for Fashion News Live.

The opening fashion showcase began with a mix of couture gowns, rockabilly chic and statement metalware. Designers included Ermelinda Manos Designs, Marialia and jewelry from Kristen Dorsey Designs paired with Lauren Stucky.  Tween sensations Victoria Strauss and Lauren Suthers modeled for Tumbler & Tipsy by Michael Kaluva presented by Aids Healthcare Foundation and Out of the Closet Thrift Stores with a finale walk from reality star Josie Stevens. Official hair care partner Sebastian Professional brought a rare and masterful theatre like showcase with hair looks executed on stage by head stylists showcasing their “EvoTech” collection.

The second fashion show brought designers Alex Vinish, Krammer & Stoudt, CA by vitamin A, and NBC’s Fashion Star favorite GLAUDI by Johana Hernandez presenting a line up of Spring must haves. Rollasole debuted their most recent sole-saving vending machine in the main lobby.

The art gallery, located in Bardot and presented by Midori, the original melon liqueur, featured live performances from jazz artist Matt Von Rodrick, visual installations from Miguel Big, Leah Devora, Brittany Thurston, Michael “Malafiura” Fontana, Chelsea Knight, C. Harvey Smith and Cutter Cutshaw. Lab Art, the largest street art gallery in the nation, exhibited three of their resident live artists, Mar (aka This Means Mar) who created a Midori inspired piece, Annie Preece and LeBa.

L.A. based band YACHT rocked out to a packed house, followed by an encore fashion show by Alex Vinash and Tumbler and Tipsy. DJ sets by DJ Stubbs and DJCJ took the party until 2am.

LOS ANGELES, CA (September 25th, 2013) – With a progressive lineup of both local and international fashion, music and art, Scion, Project Ethos and French Tuesdays will host their collaboration during LA Fashion Week at Avalon Hollywood (1735 Vine St. Los Angeles, CA 90028) on Tuesday, October 15th, 2013 from 8pm to 2am. Additional partners include AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Jin & Quinn, Sebastian Professional, Midori, Lab Art, The Fashion Law Group, and TNT Agency.

Fashion showcases take place at 9pm and 10pm with an encore presentation at 12am. Designers featured include CA by vitamin A, Alex Vinash, Ermelinda Manos, Marialia, Isabelle Donola NYC, Nativ New York, Tumbler & Tipsy by Michael Kuluva presented by AIDS Healthcare Foundation and Out of the Closet Thrift Stores, NBC’s Fashion Star favorite GLAUDI by Johana Hernandez and jewelry by Kristen Dorsey Designs paired with Lauren Stucky. Runway show opening performances will be choreographed by Michael Silas (Lady Gaga) with fashion and art animation video by Miguel Bigs and Brittany Thurston.

In addition to the runway shows, official hair care partner Sebastian Professional will showcase their “EvoTech” collection with hair looks executed by stylists live on stage. At 11pm, guests will be treated to a live performance from L.A. based YACHT who’s toured with LCD Soundsystem, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Hot Chip, Vampire Weekend, The Postal Service and many more.

The art gallery presented by Midori, the original melon liqueur, will feature local artists Matthew Bilfield, Miguel Big, Leah Devora, Brittany Thurston, Michael “Malafiura” Fontana, Chelsea Knight, C. Harvey Smith and Cutter Cutshaw while DJ Stubbs curates the tunes.
