The first Project Ethos event was held on August 27th, 2005 at the historic El Rey Theater in Los Angeles. For the first time ever, a fashion show, live concert and art gallery were combined under one roof, on one night. Another first, was that the event was open to both the industry and the public.
Retail buyers, showroom reps, gallery curators, art collectors, media reps and consumers came together to discover emerging talent in an array of presentations. It was a fresh approach and instant hit. With over 750 guests, the El Rey was packed with excitement and opportunity for creative minds who may not have had a platform before. Not to mention it was a great time for everyone.
Since then, Project Ethos has held more than 50 large scale productions spanning from Hollywood to San Diego, San Francisco, Portland and Arizona. Designers have been featured on Project Runway, placed in stores, and featured on the covers of prominent publications. Bands have won Grammys and played the Super Bowl. Hundreds of paintings have been sold.
In 2012, Project Ethos TV was launched featuring event participants and staff in rare behind the scenes moments. With the intent to further opportunity for emerging artists through the ever more powerful world wide web.
In addition to that, Project Ethos launched a PR Agency to offer emerging brands full time services beyond just events.
